The body
Physical access
Wheelchair spaces planned from the floor plan, step-free routes, sign-language interpreters, a quiet exit, trained welcome staff. Decided in month two, not month eight.
Meteor Access · Accessibility and inclusion
A meteor shower is the most democratic show there is. No ticket, no door, no row, no body that has to work a certain way. We hold ourselves to that standard, and it is why Meteor Nyx exists.
Our belief
A concert where part of the audience cannot get in, cannot see, cannot hear or cannot pay is not a complete concert. It is missing people.
We want our rooms to look like the country: every city, every age, every body, every budget. That is our definition of inclusion.
Four dimensions
Access is more than a ramp. It starts long before the venue door.
The body
Wheelchair spaces planned from the floor plan, step-free routes, sign-language interpreters, a quiet exit, trained welcome staff. Decided in month two, not month eight.
The distance
A great show should not require a plane ticket. Our tours bring the stage to cities that major productions pass by.
The price
Ticket structures designed so every kind of audience has a real place in the room, not just the front rows.
The work
A show is forty trades. We hire and train locally, including people kept away from work, because a sector is built by the people who stay.
What is funded gets installed. What is installed gets measured.
Our method
Accessibility enters the project in month two, with the scenography. A venue made accessible in the final fortnight is a venue that decided late.
Our arrangements are built with associations and the people concerned, and reviewed by them before we announce them.
We talk about ramps, seats, interpreters and times. No slogans. Every published commitment is a kept commitment.
After each edition: arrangements installed, people welcomed, feedback, improvements. A public impact report.
